Displaying Additional Information in the Planning Table
Use
In Repetitive Manufacturing, the production quantities are displayed in the form of a planning table. In this table, you can process your production quantities taking capacity on hand into account. For example, you can assign production quantities to the individual production lines and you can increase or decrease the production quantities. The planning table supports various functions to help you process the production quantities, such as Hide materials and lines and so on.
Integration
Capacity planning is integrated with the planning table. Of special significance here is that you can use the capacity planning table for dispatching or reallocating planned orders or run schedule quantities taking the production version into account.
Prerequisites
In Customizing for Repetitive Manufacturing, under Planning Table, you must define the parameters for the planning table.
You must create a valid production version for materials that you want to plan in the planning table.
Features
Capacity data in the planning table
To display the capacity data for the selected lines in the upper section of the planning table, set the indicator Capacity planning in the Scheduling tab page in the initial screen of the planning table.
In the standard system, only the capacity loads (as a percentage) of the lines selected are displayed.
You can also instruct the system to display the available capacity and the capacity requirements of each production line.
Capacity overloads are then highlighted. Capacity overloads are highlighted so that your attention is immediately drawn to critical situations.
Material data in the planning table
In the lower section of the planning table, the system displays the material data.
The material data is grouped by the production lines on which the materials can be produced if you have set the system to sort by line. Alternatively, the material data is grouped by material number if you have set the system to sort by material. You can make/change this setting in the planning table.
Row-by-row display of data relevant to materials and MRP elements
If you sort by material, the system displays all the data relevant to the material, such as the available quantity, requirements or days’ supply in the rows directly below the material.
The data displayed in any extra rows depends on your settings in Customizing. You can change the sequence of these rows to suit your own requirements, you can hide any row that you do not want displayed in the planning table and you can display another row that is currently hidden.

The available quantity always refers to the order finish date plus the goods receipt processing time, that is, the quantities are displayed on the dates on which they are actually available. For example, if the order finish date of a planned order is 15.9.1997 and the goods receipt processing time is one day, then the system displays the available quantity in the row for 16.9.
The available quantity only includes the quantities from the net requirements segment but no sales order quantities.
In the following rows, the system also displays the production orders, and for make-to-order or project planning it also displays the planned orders.
If you have made the necessary settings in Customizing, you can also display other receipts, such as purchase requisitions or planned orders for production in another plant.
Displaying other versions
If you used production lines to access the planning table, the system selects and displays all materials that are produced on the lines you selected. If one of the materials can be produced on several lines, the planned orders for these other production lines are grouped together and are displayed in a separate row as Other versions. By double-clicking the icon on this row, you can display these other production lines and their assigned quantities.
Hiding materials
You can show and hide materials as required. You can do this for each material individually using the menu in the planning table. You can also hide several materials at a time by branching from the planning table to the collective display and making the necessary changes here.
Hiding lines
You can show and hide production lines as required. You can do this for each production line individually using the menu in the planning table. You can also hide several lines at a time by accessing the selection screen for production lines in the planning table.

If you work with capacity planning, the system will not show any lines that were not selected on the initial screen. To avoid this problem, you can select Detailed line selection on the initial screen. A dialog box appears where you can then select all the production lines that you want to process in the planning table.
Displaying simulative planned orders from Long-Term Planning
For additional information, you can instruct the system to display the simulative planned orders from Long-Term Planning in a separate row. You do this by entering a planning scenario on the initial screen.
Displaying ranges of coverage
In the planning table, you can check the ranges of coverage for the material and, if necessary, change the production quantities accordingly.
Printing run schedule quantities
Once you are satisfied with the planning results, you can print a run schedule dispatch list from the planning table.
