Accessing the Planning Table by MRP Controller 

Prerequisites

If you have maintained the Entry Parameters in Customizing for the Planning Table, the system automatically proposes the plant, the period of examination, the scheduling strategy and the indicator for production or basic dates.

Procedure

  1. To access the initial screen of the planning table, choose Logistics ® Repetitive manufacturing ® Planning ® Planning table ® Change mode in the SAP menu.
  2. Now, enter the plant.
  3. Select MRP controller and enter the number of the MRP controller.
  4. Select Material overview if you want to narrow down your material selection further in the collective display of the planning table.
  5. If you want to work with capacity data in the planning table, select Capacity planning in the Scheduling tab page.
  6. Select Detailed or Rate-based planning (depending on your settings in Customizing).
  7. Define whether the system is to calculate and display production or basic dates and which scheduling strategy is to be used.
  8. Choose the MRP segments tab page and select the planning segments from which data is to be copied to the planning table.
  9. Choose Continue.

The system displays a message stating that you can narrow down your selection further.
You can change the parameters again.

By choosing Planning table, the system determines the planning data.

Result

The system branches to the screen Planning Table - Collective Display where you can narrow down your material selection further.
