Creating Production Versions in the Material Master Record 

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. From the MRP views in the material master record, choose Prod.versions.

    2. The Production Version Overview dialog box appears.

  2. Enter a version number and a text that describes the production version. To define the period for which the production version will be valid, enter dates in the Valid from and Valid to fields.
  3. Select the indicator REM, to allow the production version for Repetitive Manufacturing.

    4. If you want to create several production versions at once, you must first enter all the version numbers and texts in the overview screen.

  4. To specify further details on the production version, choose Details .

    5. The Production Version Details dialog box appears.

  5. Here, enter the additional data for this production version; for example, the alternative BOM and BOM usage, the receiving storage location for backflushing, and task list type, task list group and group counter.

    6. You can use the pushbuttons Previous version and Next version to switch between production versions.

  6. To return to the overview, choose Continue.
  7. To return to the MRP or Work Scheduling screen, choose Continue again and save your data with Material ® Save.
