Assigning Resources to Hierarchy Levels  

Use

You can arrange resources hierarchically by connecting them in the hierarchy graphic.

Prerequisites

The hierarchy graphic must be called up in hierarchy maintenance. When you call up the hierarchy graphic in resource maintenance, you can only display the hierarchy structure.

You have already assigned several resources to a resource hierarchy.

Procedure

  1. Choose Logistics ® Production - Process ® Master Data ® Resources ® Hierarchy ® Change:

    2. Choose to display the hierarchy graphic.

  2. Choose .

    3. A pencil appears as part of your cursor.

  3. Position the cursor on the superior resource. Press the left mouse button.

    4. The resource is selected.

  4. Connect the resource by holding down the left mouse button and drawing a line to the subordinate resource.

A resource can only have resources subordinate to it that have not been assigned a superior position in the resource hierarchy. To make a superior resource a subordinate one, you must first delete the existing connection.

  1. Choose to undo a connection.
  2. Choose to save the assignment.
