Renaming a Resource  

Use

In resource maintenance, you can rename a resource, that is, assign a new description to it. With the direct rename function, it is no longer necessary to change a resource description by replacing it with another.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource ® Change. Enter the plant and the name of the resource you want to rename.
  2. Choose .

    3. The New Name dialog box appears.

  3. Enter the new name that you want the resource to have. Choose .

    4. The Basic Data screen appears.

  4. If you don't want to change any other resource data, choose

You can change the resource name from any tab page in resource maintenance.

Result

Once you have saved the resource, the new name is automatically changed in all applications where the resource is used.
