Create Work Breakdown Structure 

Prerequisites

You have defined an investment project.

Procedure

  1. Call up the transaction as follows:

  2. Choose .
  3. Double-click on Project definitions in the worklist.
  4. Enter the following data:

    Your number, for example I/2000

  5. Choose .

    6. Your project is added to the project definitions listed.

  6. Double click on your project.

    7. There is already a top WBS element. You now add further WBS elements.

  7. On the left hand side of the screen, choose Templates.
  8. Choose next to Individual objects.
  9. Select WBS element and drag it to your top WBS element ( New Administration building).
  10. In the Identification and View Selection screen area, enter the following data:

  12. Carry out steps 9 - 11 with the following input.

  13. Select WBS element and drag it to the WBS element for the interior.
  14. Enter the following data:

  16. Carry out steps 13 -15 with the following input:

    Release the project so that planning can be entered for it.

  17. Select your project definition ( New Administration building) and choose Edit ® Status ® Release.

Result

Your project is now structured. At the same time, the release of the project triggered the system to create assets under construction (AuCs). You can display the assets under construction for each WBS element. Choose Edit ® WBS element ® Investment programs ® Asset under construction.
