The interface of the data and consolidation monitor was completely reworked and changed to a new hierarchical control display.
However this changeover only relates to the display and not to the elements which are presented, that means that there the hierarchies of dimension are still in the left part, and to the right of them, the information belonging to them on status management (overall and detail status).
Note that the icons for the presentation of task status "Incomplete" and "Error(s)" have changed . You can see the symbol/color key in the data or consolidation monitor.
The new interface also enables context menus,
along with the dynamic setting of column widths. You can request these via
cursor positioning and a right mouse click (context sensitive).
In these menus the most common functions are offered in the special
context.
The scroll keys, known from earlier releases, for scrolling tasks are no longer necessary with the new user interface and therefore have been discarded. If the current size of the window is not sufficient to display all tasks, then a horizontal scrollbar is available, or you can configure the column widths by simply moving the column breaks with the cursor. You can save these settings as the user layout.
The dialog box, known from earlier releases, for executing a task of the category "Data collection" was also completely reworked and replaced by a hierarchical display for the selection of layouts, document types and additional financial data.
Along with changes in the user interface, further functions were integrated into the monitor:
The required task, known from earlier releases,
for the "Validation of standardized financial data" in a task group for the
data monitor has now been discarded.
Instead you can now indicate the "last task" in the task group for the data
monitor. This can only be one task, which has no more successors within the
task group. The system checks this condition when saving the task group
definition. If a task group contains a task "Validation of standardized
financial data" in the data monitor, this is automatically viewed as the last
task of the task group. You cannot override this setting.
If you want to call up the logs for certain tasks in the monitor later, then activate the log archiving in the Implementation Guide, section "Consolidation Functions". At this point you can also deactivate log creation during program runtime. This can considerably improve performance when executing tasks.
