In addition to printing payment orders and checks and generating diskette and tape data carriers, the system can create messages for electronic data interchange ( EDI). Your data will reach customers, vendors, or your house bank most quickly via EDI, and can be automatically processed at that point.
The solution supported in our system is based on intermediate document (IDoc) technology and is dependent upon the actually-used message type. General information on intermediate documents can be found under The IDoc Interface for EDI in the "Cross Application" manual in the R/3 Library.
