The following overview describes the basic hierarchy of the menu bars at the three levels of the SAP System, the main menu level, the application level, and the task level. The task level itself can have a hierarchical structure, too. Nevertheless, the menu bar should be structured uniformly within a task to ensure consistency. Functions that are not used should therefore not be removed from the menu bar and the pull-down menus but only be inactived (menu item should be dimmed).
