The input field for a start argument appears in accordance with the column structure below the column to be scanned. The start argument does not receive a field name. If possible, it should be in the same line as the page display.

Using an alternative to the start argument, a table entry can be found with the Position... function, along with further search criteria, if required. The position is entered in the following dialog box. If it is a table in the primary window, the entry Position... can be found in the pull-down menu Edit or on a pushbutton with no fixed position below the table. In a dialog box, this function is only available on a pushbutton.
