Availability of the Possible Entries Pushbutton

Possible entries help is displayed "automatically" in the SAP System for

matchcode fields
fields which are affiliated with check tables
fields for which domain values or screen values are defined

In addition to this, separate Possible entries can be programmed (in screens via PROCESS ON VALUE REQUEST, in lists by assigning a function code to the (F4) key).

Activating the Possible Entries Pushbutton

The Possible entries pushbutton is displayed if the developer sets the following flag to a field in the Screen Painter, depending on the type of the Screen Painter and the required display of the key:

alphanumeric SP	Possible entries pushbutton	permanently displayed possible entries pushbutton
Motif SP	Possible entries pushbutton	permanently displayed possible entries pushbutton

Currently, the flag "possible entries pushbutton" is set automatically for matchcode fields and cannot be switched off.

Work is currently in process for a method of setting the flag automatically when generating the screen.

In future, the flag can be set at runtime.
