Related Input Fields
Radio buttons should be left-aligned with the input fields. You always have to use at least two radio buttons.

Left-aligned radio buttons
They can also be placed to the right of the reference field(s), separated by some blanks. If there are several reference fields, the radio button should be to the right of the bottom reference field. Several radio buttons of a group to the right of the fields should be left-aligned. You always have to use at least two radio buttons.

Radio buttons to the right of the reference field
If there is not enough room to implement one of above described solutions, the following guideline applies: The symbol is to be placed to the right and left-aligned with the input fields above. Names are left-aligned with the field names above (for technical restrictions see the Technical Notes).

Right radio buttons
Several Fields
Radio buttons which refer to several fields are to be left-aligned with the field names at the bottom of the field group. You can insert a blank line between groups of information units (fields, radio buttons, and checkboxes).

Separate Independent Information Blocks
In this case, the radio buttons are to be placed as a separate group next to or below other blocks. Radio buttons are always related to each other and are therefore to be collated in a group box containing a group heading.

Horizontal Arrangement
If room is available horizontally but not vertically, you can position the radio buttons next to each other in one line. You have to leave at least two blanks between the radio buttons.
If necessary, you can position a name before the radio buttons. Then the first radio button is to be left-aligned with the input fields.

Radio Buttons with horizontally arranged names
If you do not name the radio buttons, the first radio button is left-aligned with the field names.
