Object-Oriented User Interface
A feature which is common to all graphical user interfaces is that they all follow an object-oriented aproach. This principle has only remotely to do with "object-oriented programming". An object-oriented user interface allows the user to handle objects as directly as possible without having to consider the particuliarities of the DP installation.
This object-oriented approach is reflected in the menu structure and in the object and action selection when the user processes objects in the work area.
