After logging on, the user chooses the application from the
pull-down menus
presented at the main menu level. For example, Accounts payable.
Within this application, the user chooses the desired object class from the
menu bar
or from the
pull-down menus
.
From the following level of the pull-down menu, the respective
action
is chosen (object class level). If only a few actions are allocated to an object class, object class and action can be grouped together to form
one
pull-down menu option. For example, Enter goods receipt, Change master data.
On the task's initial screen, the object name or the
object number
is entered or chosen (task level).
When exiting the task, the user returns to the application level.
Choosing the Menu Options
The following options must simultaneously be available:
Cursor positioning on the menu bar, with
F10
, or with the mouse pointer.
Direct selection of menu options by single mouse click or by using the arrow keys and
ENTER
.
Choosing a menu option by pressing the
ALT
key and an mnemonic access character (see
Access Characters) or by entering shortcuts.
