Enhancements in
the Results History
Use
The following enhancements were for the results
history function in Release 4.6C:
- Evaluation for Reference Operation
Set
For inspection
characteristics contained in a reference operation set referenced in a task
list, you can specify whether you want the system to evaluate the results data
with reference to the characteristics in the reference operation set (as in
the past), or whether the reference should not be taken into consideration for
the evaluation. If you ignore the reference to the reference operation set,
the system proceeds as if the characteristics were maintained directly in the
task list.
If the
characteristics involved were maintained in a reference operation set, an
additional tab page allows you to select the evaluation method.
- Conversion of Floating Point
Values
You can now display
floating point values in the results history in two different ways. In
addition to a character-based display, the floating point display is now also
supported.
As a result of the
continued development of the ALV tool (SAP List Viewer), with floating point
values you can now distinguish between null values and measured or planned
zero values. A null value is represented by blanks.
Both formats have
their advantages and disadvantages. With filter functions, for example, it is
advantageous to use the floating point display.
- Characteristic Display from the List
of Results
From the list of
results, you can now branch directly to display an inspection characteristic
in a task list or a master inspection characteristic.
To improve the
usability of the results history function, the following changes were
made:
- Redesign of the pushbutton bar and change of
terminology to conform with latest developments in the ALV
technology
- Simplified use of selection screen through the
improved visualization of active selection criteria
- Optimized handling when using the display
function (this means, if a selection has not been made, the system uses the
current position of the cursor as the selection).
- Optimized handling when displaying results
data graphically or when calling up the list of single values. If no values
are selected, the system processes all of the data contained in the
list.
Effects on
Customizing
Because of the changes in the formatting of
floating-point values, existing layouts (previously called display variants)
may have to be redefined if the values are to be displayed as numbers. The
existing layouts, however, can still be used without being changed.
