Planning According to Business Areas Allowed

Description

Planning was extended to the effect that planning on business areas is now also possible in addition to planning on accounts.

You can plan as follows for each company code:

• only accounts, no business areas

• accounts and business areas

• accounts and selected business areas.

Within the planning transaction, the dimensions account and business area can be swapped as required. You can change the view on the planning objects by pushing the button; so that, for example, all allocated business areas within an account are displayed or planned, or vice versa, all accounts within a business area.

Change system parameters in customizing

If you want to carry out planning by business areas, the following default settings must be made in customizing:

• Business areas must exist and the company code should be provided for a business area balance sheet.

• You must make planning preparations.
  A set with business areas which is a requirement for planning on business area level is created here.

Changes to the interface

For entering and displaying the planning, the initial screen has been extended by the part "Specify business areas".

The following specifications are possible:

• without business areas
  Planning is carried out only on accounts.
  If a business area balance sheet is provided for this company code, a warning message is output.

• all business areas
  Planning is carried out on accounts and all business areas.
  If no business area balance sheet is provided for this company code, a warning message is output.

• special business areas from - to
  Individual business areas can be specified.
