Results Recording on the Internet 

Use

As of Release 4.6C, you can record inspection results for characteristics over the Internet. You can use this service externally (Internet) or internally (Intranet).
As a user of this service, you are first presented with a worklist from which you can select an inspection lot. You can then record inspection results for all operations.
You can record both summarized and single results, and you can enter a description for each characteristic. For recording purposes, the system provides the 'Save' and 'End inspection' functions.

Examples of Applications

• External results recording (Internet): Inspection at Vendor's Premises
  The inspector logs onto the ordering party's system using a corresponding URL. After the inspector enters his or her identification (alias) and password, the system displays a worklist of inspection lots. After selecting an inspection lot, the inspector can begin recording inspection results. Once all results have been recorded, the inspection can be completed and the inspection lot is removed from the worklist when the worklist has been refreshed.

• Internal results recording (Intranet)
  This service can be used internally as a simplified means of recording inspection results.

Effects on System Administration

The system identifies a user by means of an alias. For this reason, you must assign an SAP user to a user as an alias.

Effects on Customizing

A corresponding selection variant must be created for the SAP user in the SAP System. Without a selection variant, you cannot call up this service. The selection variant limits the information that is displayed in the worklist. The scope of the worklist is the responsibility of the individual who makes this service available for use.
