1. The availability check can be carried out at header level of the planned order from release 3.0. This means that, if you create or change the planned order in the header screen, the system checks at the same time for all components whether these parts are available for the quantities required.

In the header data screen of the planned order, select, Edit -> Mat.availability.
The system displays a list of the components with availability data and various evaluation and display functions.

a) You can switch off the availability check for a material. This is especially usefull for materials that are always in plentiful supply, for example, screws. To exclude such materials from the availability check, in the material master record, MRP 2 screen, set the availability check field to No check.
