Exploding Structured Processes

Procedure

  1. To explode and view the structure of the process, go to the menu for Processes and choose Information System ® Reports for Activity-Based Costing ® Master data indexes ® Business Process: Display Structure .
  2. Choose the receiver business process(es) based on the following criteria:
      1. Individual business process or business process interval
      2. Business process groups
      3. All business processes in a controlling area
      4. Selection variant (see: Selection variant and Changing business processes with collective processing).
  3. If you work with large volumes of data, break down the structure or structures in a background run during periods of low system use.
  4. Enter a time frame in which the selected business processes are valid.
  5. Enter the version.
  6. Select either Actual or Plan.
  7. Choose .

Result

The structure of the sender and receiver (business process , cost centers/activity types , cost centers ) are displayed based on the key dates. In the column, you can see the quantity, fixed and variable units of the sender object.

display the master data of an object
  1. Position the cursor on a process.
  2. Choose Master record.

display the template
  1. Position the cursor on a process.
  2. Choose Template

display the template trace (see Template Trace)
  1. Position the cursor on a process.
  2. Choose Template Trace

create a group
  1. Select all the objects belonging to the group.
      1. Double click on the object when you want to select a single object.
      2. If you want to select several objects, hold the CONTROL key down and double click on the objects.
  2. In screen Generate groups, enter the name and description of the new groups.
  3. Choose .
