Example for Make-to-Order REM

This example describes a possible planning process for producing materials with variants in a make-to-order repetitive manufacturing environment. The planning process described could possible be used in the automotive industry. You work with the takt-based scheduling in Sequencing as your production is based on takts and you want to plan a high volume of orders.

Prerequisites

You define the master data for this process in Line Design.

Process flow

  1. You carry out the MRP run.
  2. You access the sequence schedule which triggers takt-based scheduling.
  3. You check the sequence and the dates of the planned orders in the graphic display of the sequence schedule. To achieve an optimum utilization of the operating time, you can process the order sequence graphically in the sequence schedule.
