Set Up MiniApps for Monitor for Period-End Closing

Use

You can set up MiniApps for the report Period-End Close Monitor (RK_PEP_WL_CO_MINI_APP_1).

Prerequisites

The roles for which you want to set up MiniApps are defined.

Procedure

You can set up the MiniApps either so that all users receive the same data, or so that each user receives his or her own individual data.

If you want all users to receive the same data in the MiniApp, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter the required selection conditions in the selection screen of the report.
  2. Save these settings by choosing . For detailed information, refer to Creating Report Variants from step 6 onwards.
  3. Create the extract by executing the report. SAP recommends executing the report on a regular basis (such as daily or overnight). You can schedule a background job for this purpose.
  4. Choose Tools ® Administration ® User Maintenance ® Roles (PFCG). Enter the name of the role for which you want to set up the MiniApp, and choose Change. Choose Goto ® MiniApps. If more than one MiniApp was set up for the role, a table is displayed containing all assigned MiniApps. Double-click on the MiniApp you want to set up. A detailed screen appears. Enter the URL of the variant you created for the report RK_PEP_WL_CO_MINIAPP_1 as the parameter variant. If you want each user to receive individual data, proceed as follows:

You create a separate role for each user and carry out the following steps for each user:

  1. Enter the required selection conditions in the selection screen of the report.
  2. Save these settings by choosing . For detailed information, refer to Creating Report Variants from step 6 onwards.
  3. Choose Tools ® Administration ® User Maintenance ® Roles (PFCG). Enter the name of the role for which you want to set up the MiniApp, and choose Change. Choose Goto ® MiniApps. (If more than one MiniApp was set up for the role, a table is displayed containing all assigned MiniApps. Double-click on the MiniApp you want to set up.) A detailed screen appears.
