EnjoySAP - Line Item Display with the ABAP List Viewer

Scope of Functions

Starting the line item display from a program selection screen allows you to make complex selections and make selections from the logical database for vendors, G/L accounts, and customers - KDF, SDF, and DDF. You can also display items from several accounts cross-company code in a list.

You can save your selection criteria, a list of required accounts, as a selection screen variant. This function replaces previous worklist functions for accounts and company codes.

The line item list is displayed with the ABAP List Viewer (ALV). The ALV offers comprehensive standardized functions for the list layout, and for the preparation of the data. For more detailed information about the ALV, see the SAP Library under:

CA Cross-Application Components
-> General Application Functions -> ABAP List Viewer.

An introduction to the line item display functions is contained in the program documentation for RFITEMAP (Vendors), RFITEMGL (G/L accounts), and RFITEMAR (Customers).

Effects on Customizing

The maintainance of the display, sort, and summarization variants for the list is done online in the ALV list. In addition to the standard variants delivered by SAP whose names begin with 1SAP, you can create additional general or user-specific variants. The previous maintenance transactions in Customizing no longer exist.

The only function that is still carried out in Customizing is the definition of special fields for the line items from tables BKPF, BSEG, BSEGC, BSEC, BSED, BSBV, and PAYR. This is done using transaction FAKP. The special fields are available from the fields in the ALV list.
