If copies of groups are generated automatically, the suffix is used as the copying criterion.
Example:
The following group is to be copied, the copy
should get the suffix ".1997": The copy appears as follows: If there is already a suffix in the existing
group name, the system swaps the old suffix for the new suffix during the
copying. If time-dependent objects are grouped, the
copying of group hierarchies is used especially to "freeze" the
characteristics of a group hierarchy at a given time. Note: Note that the number of groups doubles with
each copying transaction. For very large hierarchies you should regularly
delete copies that you no longer require. Alternatively, you can also keep the
number of groups small by copying only the parts in which changes occur and
manually creating a backup copy.
