Definition
A
condition type represents one step in a costing sheet.Structure
What calculation the system carries out in that step depends on the following control indicators:
Condition Category
The condition category classifies condition types according to predefined categories.
The following condition categories are used in Profitability Analysis:
E |
Cash discount |
G |
Transfer cost according to price control indicator in the material master |
K |
Base value |
S |
Standard price |
T |
Moving average price |
‘ ‘ |
Blank ¾ used for condition types that represent sales deductions or additions that do not fit into any of the above categories |
Calculation Type
The calculation type determines how the system calculates prices, deductions, or additions for a condition type. For example, it can specify that a sales deduction should be dependent on the quantity sold or on a value scale.
The following calculation types are used in Profitability Analysis:
A |
Percentage | |
B |
Fixed amount | |
C |
Quantity-based |
Condition Class
The condition class divides condition types into two different classes:
A |
Deductions/additions |
B |
Prices |
Scale Basis
The scale basis determines how the system interprets the value or quantity scale for a condition. Scales can be dependent on a quantity or on a currency amount.
The following scale bases are used in Profitability Analysis:
B |
Value scale |
C |
Quantity scale |
Examples of Condition Types
How a condition type behaves depends on the values specified for the aforementioned attributes. The following is a list of all the combinations possible in Profitability Analysis, followed by some examples showing the effect of these combinations.
