Restoring Previous States Following Realignments

Use

When you "restore" a realignment run, you return all the profitability segments that were changed by that run to the state they had prior to that realignment.

The system does not check whether the profitability segments affected have been changed again in the meantime by other realignments. Consequently, you should always be careful only to carry out restores for the last realignment run executed.

Multiple restores cannot be carried out in parallel or at the same time as a realignment run.

If a restore terminates abnormally, you can repeat it later by scheduling it again.

The information for restoring (the characteristic values of the changed profitability segments) is stored in table CE4xxxx_KENC (where xxxx = operating concern). If you frequently carry out large-scale realignments, this table may become quite large. It therefore might be useful to delete its contents from time to time. The most efficient way to do this is to use the Delete and create again function in the Database Utilities for table CE4xxxx_KENC. If necessary, contact your database administrator regarding this.
