Profit center master data maintenance in the enterprise organization

The master data for a profit center can be displayed and edited in the detail area of the enterprise organization.

Maintenance status for profit center

Initially, you only maintain profit centers in the inactive status. The system only checks and accepts newly created or changed data when you set the status of the corresponding profit center to acktive.

This method allows you to work quickly with the enterprise organization, without the need for interruptions caused by the check programs. Once you have made all necessary changes, you start the check and activation for all changes together. You can choose whether to do this for just one profit center or for more than one.

Derivation of the profit center standard hierarchy from the enterprise organization

Once the enterprise organization is active, the profit center standard hierarchy is derived from the organizational structure. If you want to group your profit centers according to different criteria to those in the enterprise organization, you can derive the standard hierarchy using an alternative profit center outline view.
