Define Background Job

In this IMG activity, you define the background jobs for the following programs or processing steps:

Proceed as follows to define a new background job:

1. Choose activity Define Background Job.

2. Enter the following data:

3. Save your entries.

4. Choose Start condition and make the following settings depending on the planned start time of the job:

If you want to start the job once at a later date, choose Date/Time and enter the planned start date and time.

If you want to run the job periodically at certain time intervals, choose Date/Time.

Enter the date and time when the job should be run for the first time.

Set the Periodic job indicator.

Choose Period values and enter the time intervals at which the job is to be restarted.

The job overview provides information on executed background jobs. To go to the job overview, proceed as follows:

a) On any screen, choose System -> Services -> Jobs -> Job overview.

b) Enter the selection criteria and choose Execute.

c) To display the log for a job, select the job and choose Job log.
