Define Selection Variant

In this IMG activity, you define the selection variants for the following programs or processing steps:

Program	Processing Step
PPPI_MCHP_CREATE	Generate batch records
PPPI_EBR_ARCHIVE	Archive batch records
PPPI_MCHP_DELETE	Delete batch records

In these selection variants, you define the criteria according to which the system selects the batch records to be processed. You then assign the selection variants to the background jobs for which you want to use them.

Activities

Proceed as follows to create a new selection variant:

1. Choose activity Define Selection Variant.

2. Enter the name of the program for which you want to define the selection variant and choose Goto -> Variants.

3. Enter a name for the variant and choose Create.

4. Enter the selection criteria that you want to use when you run your background job and choose Continue .

5. Enter the attributes for the selection variant.

6. Save your selection variant.
