Define Estimation Procedure for Fraction of Defects

In this step, you can define your own processes to estimate the fraction of defects using the characteristic inspection results. There are the following fraction estimates:

• Nonconforming units (with regard to a characteristic and in the inspection lot)

• Characteristic values outside of the tolerance range

The keys for the procedure are defined in the inspection characteristic.

Standard settings

In the standard system, fraction estimates have been maintained for the following distributions:

The table has the delivery class G. The following name range is reserved for the user:

• Defect share estimation procedure 9*, A*, ... , Z*

Use the function modules contained in the standard system.

Activities

Determine whether you need procedures other than those contained in the standard system for the estimaton of the fraction of nonconforming units in the inspection lot or for the estimation of the fraction of characteristic values outside the tolerances.
If necessary, define the calculation rules and program function modules for your own estimation procedures.
