In this step, you define the
tolerance keys for quantitative characteristics with tolerance
ranges.
(If this table is used to define measurement tolerances in the mechanical
engineering sector, the terms 'target value' and 'limiting value' are
synonymous for the terms 'nominal value and 'limit deviation').
For each tolerance key, you can define:
: Although you can enter a different number of decimal places for the nominal value and limit deviation from that in the tolerance key itself, the system always uses the number of decimal places specified by the tolerance key in the inspection characteristic.
You have defined the
The standard system contains complete tolerance tables for holes and shafts according to DIN ISO 286-2.
The standards may have changed since the date of the current release and errors may have occurred as a result of maintaining and importing the data. For this reason, make sure the data is valid before you use it in the production system!
Normally, companies in the relevant branches
need only a small selection of the tolerance tables in client 000. To copy
this data into the current client, use the function provided in the table
maintenance (Utilities -> Compare with client 000) and its associated copy
function.
The section Basic Settings,
Setting up clients contains instructions on how you can transport
all of the basic settings in the standard client 000 to the current
client.
