Demand Management: Staggered Requirements Split
Description
In release 3.0, in demand management, a new report has been developed which you can use to split existing planned independent requirements into smaller periods in a single step. The split can be carried out in certain intervals, multi-plant, and for all or only specific materials, for example.
The following selection criteria exist for maintaining the staggered split:
- plant
- MRP controller
- material
- requirements type
- version
- planning period
A period split is entered for these selection criteria that must be maintained in Customizing.
Both a history and a results list can be recorded for the report. The results list displays all selected materials that may have warnings and error messages.
The report can also be carried out in test mode involving no changes to the database.
Steps to take
In the main menu for demand management, select Environment
-> Staggered split.
You then branch into the initial screen of the report where you enter the
selection criteria for the staggered split.
Change system parameters in customizing
For the staggered split, you must maintain the period split in Customizing.
