Define Segment-Level Characteristics for Distributed CO-PA

In this activity you determine in the local systems the characteristics for which you want to summarize data in the central system in CO-PA. This makes particular sense if you want to store the data in the central system at a higher degree of summarization than in the local systems.

Requirements

This function only affects distribution in costing-based Profitability Analysis. Account-based CO-PA is unaffected.

This activity is only necessary if the periodic roll-up method is active.

Activities

To define the segment level characteristics used for distributed CO-PA, only the column 'Distribution' is relevant.

• If the characteristic is to remain present after the roll-up in the local receiver system, then you should select the indicator in the column 'distribution'. Any characteristics not transferred at this point will still remain present in the receiver system.

• If data should be summarized for the characteristic in the receiver system, then the indicator 'Distribution' should not be selected.
