As of Release 3.0, you can send reports that have been saved permanently (the report results) in an R/3 System using Mail.
You can send a report directly by entering the name of a recipient on the selection screen during the report selection. This allows you to also send a report in the background. If you also set the 'Output report' indicator, the report will be output on the screen or to the printer, as previously.
In the report output, you can send the report using the function 'Report' -> 'Send'. In both cases, however, the report must be saved permanently before you can send it. You must thus select the indicator 'Save data permanently' on the selection screen.
Once the report has been sent, it appears in the inbox of the recipient. The 'Display' function lists the name of the report group, the time of the selection and other additional information. The 'Process' function displays the report results.
