Assigning Order Characteristics
Use
You use this function to assign an order profile to the order characteristics and to determine the possible characteristic values and their colors.
In Customizing for Sequencing, you can assign each order profile up to three order characteristics. Then you specify the possible values for each characteristic. You can change the values of a characteristic later in the sequence schedule.
If, for example, you want to specify values for a material in the characteristic group "material", enter the key of all materials which you want to display in color in the order bar. Then assign every material a color via the Element type field.
Integration
You can only assign order characteristics to an order profile in Customizing for Sequencing.
Prerequisites
You must define the order characteristics that you want to assign to an order profile.
Features
Characteristic values
You can specify characteristic values depending on the characteristic group you specified when you defined the order characteristic. The following values are possible depending on the characteristic group:
You can only assign the characteristic value "Blank" to this characteristic group. The color you assign is displayed constantly in the sequence schedule.
For this characteristic group, the possible values depend on the R/3 table field you specified in the characteristic definition. If, for example, you selected the scheduling indicator TRMKZ, you can assign the values, not set ("blank") or set ("x") to the characteristic.
In this characteristic group, you can specify actions. The sequence schedule always visualizes the action that was last entered.
In this characteristic group, you can define that "blank" is the standard value and the values '<'(date difference negative), '>' (date difference positive) and '='(same date).
In this characteristic group, you only have to specify the standard value "blank". You determine the other values using the user exit.
For this characteristic group, you have to determine the possible values of the characteristic from the class system.
For this characteristic group, you can specify all materials that you want to plan with Sequencing.
For this characteristic group, you do not have to specify any values and colors. The system assigns different colors to the planned orders in the sequence schedule so that you can distinguish between each one more easily.

For every order characteristic, you have to specify a standard value (characteristic value = "blank". The standard value is valid if the system cannot determine a value for the other values. You can assign this standard value the element type 00 (transparent). Then the system displays the graphic element with no color filling and with a black border.
Color assignment
You can select an element type for every characteristic value that determines the color and the geometric form. Please take note of the following conventions:
Choose Legend to display a legend of the possible element types.
The following graphic shows how the three order characteristics are displayed in one order bar in the sequence schedule. You assign the characteristic values to the graphic elements (for example, "date difference < 0" corresponds to the color "red") by assigning the order characteristics.
