Changes to the Layout of the Line Item List

Use

Since the line item list in Profitability Analysis is based on the ABAP List Viewer (ALV), only the ALV layout functions are used, from Release 4.6C, to structure the line item list. This means that you can display a list and tailor it to your requirements (for example, by moving columns, or displaying some and hiding others). You then save these adjustments as a layout (previously referred to as a "display variant").

Consequently, the option - introduced in Release 4.5A - for using the line item layouts and the display variants or ALV layouts in parallel is no longer available.

Effects on Existing Data

You can no longer use the Report Painter to create the line item layouts and should convert your existing line item layouts into ALV layouts. For more information, see the following section in the Profitability Analysis documentation: Infomation System -> Functions in the Information Systems -> Analysis Types -> Line Item Lists -> Converting Layouts Following Upgrades .
