Routings: Changed Functions

Description

The following changes have been made in routing maintenance in Release 3.0:

1. Change in meaning of indicators in control key

The meaning of the capacity planning (Capacity plnng) and Scheduling indicators which can be set when maintaining the control key in Customizing has been changed:

Note, in capacity planning and scheduling: If you set the Capacity plnng indicator for the work center or routing in Customizing, you should also set the Scheduling indicator.

1. Changes to the checks in the task list

In Release 3.0, relationships between operation numbers, sub-operation numbers and sequences are no longer checked automatically when you create or change a task list. Therefore the customer can, for example, number operations more flexibly.

Consistency checks are task list type-dependent. SAP predefines the task list types for which consistency checks are executed.

In Customizing for the routing, you can maintain the status for a certain routing by setting the Cons. chk indicator so that the system automatically carries out a consistency check before saving a routing. The following object relationships are checked:

In addition, the system checks the consistency of the inspection characteristics of an operation when you exit the inspection characteristic overview.

System messages which are processed during the check are displayed in the inspection log.

In addition to the check when you save, you can also run a check independent of task list status when you are maintaining the task list. In this case, choose the menu option Extras -> Consistency check -> Consistency check on the Operation overview screen.

During the check, the system writes an inspection log, which you reference to decide whether to save or correct the errors online.

Task lists that have been checked are marked internally in the task list header so that the check does not need to be carried out again during order creation. If you carry out a change number shift for a task list that has been checked, this internal indicator is removed.

When you check the routing in the background, the task list is always saved. If errors occur, the log is saved in the database.

1. Changes in object overviews

In Release 3.0 Customizing for routings, you can individually maintain overview variants for object overviews according to which task list objects are displayed in variable lists. Please refer to the Release note Object Overviews: Changes in 3.0 for more information.
