Payroll Australia: Changes to Payslips, Terminations, Averages

Use

In this release, the following functions have been enhanced to cater to off-cycle payroll:

Australian payslips have been configured to show off-cycle results and leave quotas based on the International Time Management component.
The Terminations/Redundancies program (RPCTR3Q0) has been enhanced to include off-cycle results when calculating termination payments.
In previous releases, the Australian payroll schema used operation MEANV to calculate the average gross, which is primarily used to calculate tax on termination payments. However, since operation MEANV does not include off-cycle results in payroll calculations, it has been replaced by the new international payroll function AVERA. This new function includes off-cycle payroll results in average valuation.

Effects on Existing Data

To cater to the new method of average valuation, function AVERA was inserted in subschema QAL0 - Monthly factoring and storage found within the main schema Q000. The following subschemas were also modified to cater to averaging:

The
personnel calculation rule QTAV was deleted. This previously used MEANV to calculate the average gross and tax.
The function XDECI was added after function ADDCU to fill the currency field for the average basis wage type.

In addition, the Terminations/Redundancies program (RPCTR3Q0) was modified to cater to the new averaging function and to pick up off-cycle results accordingly.

Effects on Customizing

To configure average valuation, in Customizing for Payroll Australia, go to Time and Payment/Deduction Wage Type Valuation -> Averages New.
