Displaying a Variable Directory 

You can use the Utilities ® Variable directory function to produce a directory listing of all or selected variables. You can use this function from the Create/Display/Change/Delete Variable screens.

Procedure

  1. Choose Utilities ® Variable directory.

    2. The Variable Directory screen appears.

  2. Enter data as required.

    3. The data you enter determines the data that is selected for display.

  3. If you want to display where the variable is used in the system (for example, in a set or in a report), select Display usage.
  4. Choose Program ® Execute.

    5. A list of the variables meeting the criteria you entered on the previous screen appears.

  5. You can use the following additional processing functions on the Variable Directory screen.

Print the list of variables meeting the criteria you entered on the selection screen.

Edit ® Choose variable

Display the definition of the selected variable. The system branches to the Display Variable transaction.
