Use
When you are no longer using a master file value, you can delete it.

Use caution when deleting dimension information since you may be deleting values that affect existing data in your summary database. When you "delete" master file values, values are only inactivated and can be reactivated at a later time.
Procedure
To delete master file values:
The Delete Master Data: Initial Screen appears.
– Table name for the dimension information that you want to delete.
– Database field name to which the master data refers.
– First master file value that you want to delete.
– Last value in the range of values that you want to delete.
A dialog box appears.
If the master file values are for all companies, leave this field blank.
The Delete Master Data: Basic Screen appears.
The message * * deleted * * appears next to the master file value.
The value is flagged by the system and is no longer valid. To reinstate a value that is flagged for deletion, see
Reinstating a Deleted Master File ValueResult
