You use the Balance carry forward function to carry forward the balances of accounts from the previous fiscal year to the beginning balance of the new fiscal year. You can carry forward:

• Balance sheet account balances from the previous fiscal year to the beginning balance of the new year

• The profit and loss account balances from the previous fiscal year to the retained earnings account of the new year
