Scope of Functions
The concept of average valuation was revised and extended. The most important developments are as follows:
- Previously,the periods that were used as time units for the formation of averages had to be the same as th time unit used for Payroll periods. From 4.6A, you can choose different time units as the basis for averages. For example, you can create monthly averages even if you run payroll weekly.
- You can include off-cycle payroll runs in the formation of average values, and to this effect, you can select specific off-cycle reasons.
- Customizing was simpliplified. Some settings are now made using views instead of in personnel calculation rules. As a result, the procedure is easier to follow.
- The selection of average periods for inclusion in the calculation can now be adapted to complex requirements. This procedure was also simplified.

You make these settings in Customizing for Payroll. Choose Time Wage Type Valuation -> Averages New.
