Searching for Applicants Using Req. Profiles for Positions 

Prerequisites

You can only use this vacancy assignment option if you are using Recruitment in conjunction with Personnel Development.

A requirements profile must also have been created for the position in question.

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Human resources ® Personnel Management ® Recruitment ® Applicant Pool ® Via Positions.
  2. The Vacancies screen appears.

  3. Enter any relevant selection criteria and choose .
  4. The Applicant Screening screen appears.

  5. Select the vacancy you are trying to fill.
  6. Choose Find candidate.
  7. The Find Qualifications screen appears. The requirements for the position are already stored in this screen.

    1. If you want to impose a further restriction or add an enhancement, choose .
    2. If you restrict the evaluation to the requirements of the last selected position or want to restrict it to object type or impose any other restrictions in order to find suitable applicants in the system, you have the following options:

a) To define requirements

Choose Qualifications

enter whether this is to be a essential requirement by flagging the Essential requirement field.

You have the option of entering the proficiency level required for each requirement. You can either choose an individual value or an interval value for the Proficiency level.

Under the Option column, enter the degree to which the proficiency in the requirement should be fulfilled.

b) To set additional restrictions for object types:

Choose Object Type Restriction.

If you want to carry out a search for external applicants only, for example, select the restriction Applicants, external and choose .

The system searches for additionally restricted object types (external applicants, for example), taking into account the requirements you entered.

c) To enter additional restrictions,

Choose Additional Restrictions.

Specify the restriction, and choose .

The system searches for additionally restricted object types (via all applicants), taking into account the requirements you entered.

d) To insert qualifications profile/requirements profile,

under Add qualifications/requirements for, select a relevant profile for the chosen object type (e.g. position). Enter the object type key (e.g. position number) and choose .

You can use this search, for example, if you want to enhance the requirements profile for the last selected position with an additional requirements profile.

e) To specify a key date, on which the requirements for a position must be met by an applicant,

Save a date in the Key date field.

The current date is the default date in the Standard system.

 

The system displays the Find Object(s) for Qualifications/Requirements screen.

The applicants who possess the required qualifications are displayed in list form.

  1. It is possible to navigate from this list. The following options are available:
  2. a) To navigate to the original application documents,

    select the desired applicant, and choose Display facsimiles.

    A viewer appears which displays the original documents in SAP ArchiveLink.

    b) To navigate to the short profile,

    select the desired applicant, and choose Short profile.

    The Display text screen appears. The applicant's short profile is displayed on this screen.

    c) To view an applicant's profile,

    select the desired applicant, and choose Goto ® Display profile.

     

  3. Assign a suitable applicant to the selected vacancy by selecting an applicant and choosing Assign vacancy.
  4. The Assign vacancy dialog box appears.

  5. Enter the desired vacancy, and choose ..

The applicant is assigned to the vacancy.

Result

The system displays a list of the applicants suited to for the vacancy sorted according to the number of required qualifications which they possess. You have assigned a suitable applicant to the selected vacancy.
