WM: Interim Storage Area Search in R/2 - R/3 Interface
Description
In the R/2 - R/3 interface, interim storage postings in the R/3 System (with the exception of posting changes) were always carried out in the bins using the same number as the RM document number from the R/2 System. The advantage is that, for every posting, a new storage bin and a new quant was created. This meant that the storage bin did not have to be blocked.
You can now facilitate interim storage area searches in the decentralizedWM system as you would in the integrated WM system; that is, the WM type determines the storage bin for the respective interface.
Change system parameters in customizing
You activate this new type of interim storage area search at the warehouse number level. For the "Decentralized Interface to the R/2 System", activate the search method for interim storage postings under the "Communication R/2 -> R/3" section by marking the field "Interim storage bin from movement type definition" for the appropriate warehouse numbers.
