Definition
A reference available capacity describes the available capacity of a reference capacity. You can reference or copy it when creating a new available capacity. This reduces the effort involved in creating capacities. The reference can be a capacity that is assigned to only one resource as well as a capacity that is maintained independent of a specific resource.
Use
When you create an available capacity, you can copy the following available capacities from a reference capacity:
If no version of available capacity is marked as active in the reference capacity, you can specify one.
When you create an available capacity in the resource, you can also copy the available capacity of a different capacity category in the resource.
By referencing or copying the capacity, you specify how you can later change the data you copy:
You can change the copied data. Changes made to the reference capacity later are not copied.
You can only change the copied data by changing the reference capacity.

For a multi-stage reference, the following applies: If you reference or copy reference Y for capacity X, and reference Y references capacity Z, the data from Z is copied directly to X.
