Implementation Guide Structure (IMG) 
Use
If you operate Human Resources (HR) and Accounting (AC) in separate systems and run posting using the ALE interface, the new structure of the Implementation Guide (IMG) will enable you to perform Customizing for posting more efficiently.
We have split the majority of steps to be performed into the two sections "Activities in the HR System" and "Activities in the AC System". We recommend that you stick to this division of activities when performing Customizing. However, to do so, you must have first of all set up the ALE scenario for posting to Accounting in accordance with our recommendations.
The Implementation Guide (IMG) has not only been restructured; the contents have also been revised.
- The step Create Report Variants was removed as variants of the report Create Posting Runs (RPCIPE00) are not always required. If you require a variant of this report, you can create this via the menu after starting the report.
- In previous releases, the steps for setting up fixed cost postings and the assignment of substitute cost centers were grouped together in one step. These two steps are now separate.
- Customizing for posting to company code clearing accounts requires you to make settings in several steps. In previous releases, you had to put together the required information from several steps in the Implementation Guide (IMG). You can now use the new step Posting to Company Code Clearing Accounts to access all the relevant information at once.
