Copying a Plan with Revaluation

Use

Users frequently want to plan for a future period using current actual data or another plan version as a base. This is easily facilitated in profitability analysis planning. In this example, you copy actual data from the current fiscal year to the following year’s plan. These numbers will then be grossed up by 5%. The 5% increase comes from a revaluation indicator (ID2) that is defined in the CO-PA configuration and selected in the copy plan transaction.

This scenario is based on the assumption that actuals are only available for periods 001 through 008 of the current year. These actuals will be copied into next year’s planning periods 001 through 008. After you complete the copy procedure, you then extrapolate/forecast next year’s plan data for the remaining periods 009 through 012.
