Sections – Changing a Master Material Record

Menu path: SAP ® Material ® Create / Change

The contents of the sections [MATCH_MR_U], [TAKE_OVER_MATERIAL], and [MATCH_MD_D] determine the appearance of the dialog box displayed when you choose the menu item "Create/Change".

The sections [MATCH_MR_U], [MATCH_MD_D] and [MATCH_MD_U] determine which fields are displayed on the right-hand side of the dialog box. If SAP fields that have been assigned to an AutoCAD attribute in the [TAKE_OVER_MATERIAL] section are displayed on the right-hand side of the dialog box, then these attributes will be displayed on the left-hand side of the dialog box opposite the corresponding SAP field.

Generally speaking, fields from the [MATCH_MD_U] section are activated. If a field from the [MATCH_MD_U] section has an assignment in the [TAKE_OVER_MATERIAL] section, it is deactivated, and the corresponding attribute on the left-hand side of the dialog box is activated.

In this case, default values for "Engineer view and "Material 2" have been determined in the [MATCH_MD_U] section. It is also possible to enter a question mark as a default value. This tells users that they have to enter data in the field in question.
