Material Master: Maintenance of Batch Master Data
Description
The maintenance of batch master data has been enhanced as follows:
- When creating the batch, you can specify a reference batch on the initial screen.
- Master data maintenance takes into account the batch definition level set in Customizing; that is, if you want the batches to be unique across plants, storage of the master data for the batch will also be cross-plant (including long text and classification). The sole exception here is the valuation type which continues to be stored at plant level, irrespective of the batch definition level.
- You can define the batch status (unrestricted-use or restricted-use).
