Material Master: Enhancements in the Stock Overview

Description

The special stocks

returnable transport packaging (RTP) and project stock are now also taken into account in material master data functions. These two stocks are displayed below storage location stocks in the stock overview.

If these special stocks exist for a material or a physical inventory is running for these stocks, the following functions can no longer be carried out:

You can no longer change the material type.

You can no longer change the base unit of measure.

You can no longer change the batch management requirement.

Apart from these new special stocks, a new stock type is now also taken into account, namely restricted-use stock.

Furthermore, you can now display the batch classification on the stock lines from batch level downwards.

Change system parameters in customizing

In Customizing, you can configure the stock overview in the Inventory Management Implementation Guide by selecting Reporting -> Define stock list display. Here, choose "Detail screen for display of stock bals.". In this object, you define the stocks that are displayed on the individual detail screens of the stock overview and the sequence in which they are displayed.

This object has delivery class G. This means that additional entries are only transported automatically to all downstream systems or to the customer if similar entries (combination of stock line, special stock, and line) do not yet exist in the target system.

Changes to the interface

In menu option Extras, the entry "Batch classification" has been included in the basic list and breakdown list (same as F11).

The pushbutton "Batch classification" is new to the individual batch display.
