The Working Time Infotype (1011)

Definition

You can use this infotype to define working times for organizational units or positions.

Use

In HR Funds and Position Management, the working times you define are only used as reference values, and are not, for example, used for payroll accounting purposes. Consequently, working times should be regarding as guideline values for the planned working times or working time provisions in an organization.

If you wish to define working times, find out about the working times that are in effect in your company. Then decide which objects are to be assigned working times.

Remember - working time information is also passed on automatically. For this reason, pay particular attention to the objects to which you assign working times. You might, for example, assign a working time to an entire organizational area by mistake - even though you really only wanted to assign the working time in question to an individual organizational unit.

Therefore, when you assign working times, always start at the bottom of a hierarchical structure, and work your way up the structure.

Structure

Information stored in the Working Time infotype is passed on automatically. In other words, lower-level objects automatically "inherit" the working times of higher-level objects unless separate working times are defined specifically for the lower-level objects.
